AME Wheels

The AME Wheels brand can be considered by those in-the-know as a true sleeper brand. It possesses all of the attributes of a high-quality, Japanese-produced, wheel line. However, due to its late entry into the North American market, it is lesser known amongst its peers. With the saturation of already established, premier Japanese wheel brands (such as Work, Volk and SSR) combined with a plethora of additional Japanese private label brands and the unfortunate ongoing copying executed by inferior so-called wheel brands and manufacturers, AME automatically positions itself as the quiet, quality alternative. Ironically, the AME Shallen Series has inconspicuously held a significant share of the market for multi-piece aluminum wheels in Japan within the High-End, Dress-up Minivan and K-Car market categories. AME plans to position itself in North America as an overall, high-quality balanced wheel brand offering a collection for the discriminating enthusiast of VIP, Sports, Luxury, Euro and K/Compact automobiles.
Brand Endless International (exclusive North American importer for Endless) has been appointed the exclusive North American agent for AME Wheels brand. The recent challenge has been to re-educate customers on the detailed, quality highlights that set AME apart from its peers such as the Diamond Machine Cut and 3D Chrome finishes and other proprietary finishes such as SBC (Super Brilliant Coating) and BBF (Brilliant Buff Finish). Also by reminding the world that Enkei Japan is amongst the very few technologically advanced wheel makers in the world producing wheels ranging from the stringent OEM sector (ie., Toyota, Subaru, Mitsubishi) to aftermarket brands such as Yokohama, OZ, Lorinser, Takechi Project Hart Series, G Corporation and Fabulous.
The AME Wheels brand is designed by Kyoho Corporation and developed by ENKEI Japan. AME is a Kyoho brand. Kyoho is amongst Japan’s top 3 major distributors and wholesalers of premium luxury and performance wheels and other various high-end aftermarket products. KYOHO also plays a role as sister company to Enkei.
AME Brand Established: 1981
Total Staff Members: 200
Branches: Currently 9 across Japan
Gross Annual Sales: $80 million (USD) in 2007
Kyoho Corporation’s role as sister company to Enkei is an ideal position accumulating invaluable data within the ever evolving automobile after market sector. This information creates a symbiotic and mutually beneficial relationship between Enkei and Kyoho.
