What a crazy weekend that ended just how we wanted it to. From Freddies bday dinner at Roscoe’s, to the dinner at Famous Daves to end the weekend with all of the fam, it was just a fun filled and exciting weekend that was too good to be true. Though Freddies bday dinner post will come soon, i just have to say one more time HAPPY BDAY to Freddie. Without you bro, we wouldn’t be who we are today. But back to SpoCom. Once again, SpoCom Long Beach has come and gone, but not without memories to be had.

Though roll-in took a bit longer than usual, the show itself was just good times all around. Lots of entertainment was on hand at the main stage all day long. Dance competitions, bikini show and a lingerie show helped pass the time between looking at cars… and looking at more boobies. Lots of car show competitors were on display along with a good amount of vendors on hand to show off alot of new products that they have. Some even got a bit creative with there displays. For example, Sparco put up there Evo X on 4 tool boxes and just awed people at the craziness of it all.

We, thankfully, got to win a couple trophies ourselves for all of our hard work that we’ve put into our projects over the years. So congratulations to Joe for getting the 1st place sword, that matches his car a bit, as well as to Kevin for getting 2nd place. All in all it was a good event for us. Got to hang out with the usual fam as well as people we don’t get to see all that often due to distance. But myself, along with Freddie, truly appreciate everyone we can call friends/family. We enjoy the time spent with everyone and that’s what these events are all about. Being able to spend time with those you care about. So until next time, take care. Alright Alright!!!

As a yearly tradition, every time it’s Freddie’s birthday, on or just about, we head to Vegas to celebrate his bday in style. I’ll be honest, it never gets old. Especially when you do something we normally don’t do when we head out there… relax. Yes, that’s right. We didn’t go and cruise the strip all that much. Run around town trying to figure out what to do. We woke up early and just, relaxed. Something you’re supposed to do on vacation.

So what we did, was go to the pool at the Palazzo, where we stayed for the weekend. We woke up early, with the sun shining, bringing us that 108+ degree weather and enjoyed a nice and relaxed morning/afternoon poolside. Tried to tan a little bit, farmers/sock tans are a bitch and just enjoyed ourselves. A couple drinks on the side helped just a little bit as well. It really was the first time doing that and it was a nice change of pace from the normal grind.

This section is a little bit for myself. The big fighting game tournament was being held @ Ceasers Palace that weekend, Evo 2010. I kind of wanted to go, but being there for Freddie and enjoying his bday was more important. I just wanted to give a big congrats to the SSF4 Beast himself, Daigo Umehara, one of, if not the BEST SF player that just beast modes on everyone. That is all.

Our last stop on the way home was of course, the infamous Alien Jerky stop off of Baker. Besides it being kind of quirky with the whole “Alien” theme, they do have some damn good jerky. We even paid a dollar to see a spaceship talk… it was supposed to blow steam and a door would open, but not for us *sad face* It was a nice stop to just check it out and see what it was all about. We bought jerky and some drinks and continued on our way.

Friends and family partook in our relaxing weekend and we thank you all. Without any of you guys, it just wouldn’t have made this possible or as good as it was. It was a blast to just relax and enjoy each others company and not have to worry about the craziness that vegas can bring. Now with that relaxing weekend, Spocom is right around the corner. More Roscoes and more patron shots are in our future… and of course the show. Long Beach, see you again soon!

On Sunday 27, 2010  Autofashion had its first Funday on Sunday!  With so much going on and alot of weekends filled with shows I decided to just do a day where no car stuff was going on, No car questions, No asking for prices, And especially NO WORK!  Just a day to relax enjoy the day and enjoy good food, great friends, and Family.

Day Started off…  As me and Kevin got down to the park we saw the overcast. Then when we pulled into the parking lot of the park there was a summer concert.  Then Half of the parking lot was closed so we looked at each other and said “Fuck this might be bad”.  We ended up setting up still and thought to ourselves maybe that people wont show up.  But all the norms showed up and also my family showed up as well.

We had such a good time with everyone and everything was great.  No matter the weather the sun still shined on us through the clouds.  As more and more people came the day just got better and better!  We had such a great time.

All this wouldnt have been possible without my fam!  My fam that is blood and through friendship.  We all put in and helped out to make the day one big funday!

Today Me, Kevin, Joe, and Vanessa decided to crave our hunger with some soul food at this spot in the hood called Bonnie Jean’s Soul Food Cafe.  As alot of people that know us…We love our soul food(ROSCOES).  Today was one of those days.  We dont have a Scoes here in San Diego but we have the next best thing!  This spot had it all, from the friendly staff, gospel music, Great food, and yes Chicken and Waffles.  We didnt get the chicken and waffles but we decided to check out what they had to offer!

Here is what we ordered:

Appetizer: The Sampler with Fried Mac and Cheese, Gizzards, and Fried Pickles.

Kevin : Chitlins, Greens, Red beans and rice, and Corn Bread. Drink: Sweet Tea

Funny shit that the waitress asked Kevin “Did you ever eat Chitlins?”  Kevin said YES.  Even though I knew Kevin never ate Chitlins, I didnt say anything but was laughing inside HAHAHAHA!  Good Job Kevin!

Joe:  Ribs, Greens, Fried Okra, and Corn bread.  Drink: PURPLE KOOL AID! Yes koolaid not just a grape soda!  How dope is that to order koolaid like you were at home and yes they did make us asians feel right at home.

Vanessa: Southern Fried Chicken W/ Honey Pecan Glaze, Greens, Grits with cheese, bacon, and chives, and Corn bread.  Drink:  Sprite!

Me (Freddie): Fried Catfish, Fried Okra, Red Beans& Rice, and Corn Bread.  Drink: Water…Yes Water because with all that food I needed something without salt or sugar!

Desert: Sweet Potato Pie and Red Velvet Cake.  As people that know me.  I love to have my desert before my meal.  Yah its wierd so what!  Sorry no pics of the desert because it was gobbled up!

Well when you come here expect the service to be great and the food to be bomb!  Also the spot isnt a fancy resturant with all the bells and whistles.  Its a nice cozy spot right here in our city.  Just a word of advice ” Never go there right before they close” hahaha!  Try to be there early so that you can get the whole experience of being at home and also be there with great Family!  As for us we did the rush there and eat fast so we have to go again and enjoy the food more!  So if your ever in the hood you should stop by this spot!  After you eat you can always head over to FAMBAM!!!!  Also watch out for them hoodrats that will ask you to use your phone!  She got a nappy weave with heart shaped bamboo earings at least 2 pairs…Round away girl! HAHAHA

What a day!  I dont even know how to start off.  As some of you know we have a meet every other wednesday just to hang out with everyone and enjoy the times.  This time around we decided to go to the fair.  It only comes around once a year and we usually go at least once.  This time was EPIC!  I thought I laughed alot at the IMS event but after this night my face hurt like hell.  Its always a good time with the AF fam!  Even Big Steve came down to enjoy the fair!  Ill let the pictures again tell the story!  All i have to say is THANKS EVERYONE for a great time!  Also have to give big props to Brian for being the entertainment of the night and being a great sport about it!   We told him that we weren’t going to post up the pics but we have to because we would like the whole world to share the fun!!!

It was a legend in its time and TMR back then proved it! If you dont know what im talking about then you must of been still in a nut sack or still sucking on a nipple, Anyways Come out and enjoy the entertainment and free swag some of the companies are giving away. Sunday May 23rd marked the 10 Year Anniversary of Extreme Autofest which was held at the home of the San Diego Chargers, Qualcomm Stadium. As with most events, Autofashion has built a close relationship throughout the years and showed support by setting up a booth with our truss setup, canopy, DJ set-up and if you didn’t hear that, we had our flags that flew high in the air to let people know our presence.  JDM, VIP, Euro, DUB, Lowrider and misc. styles were on hand at this show and as usual we had a vast array of cars displaying in our booth alongside the mixture of vehicles at the show as you can see by our pictures.

While I walked around the show as I wound up with coverage duties. I found that each style was represented quite well. I thought to myself, why can’t all shows we go to be like this? It’s nice to walk around and see LoLo’s standing 3wheel and a few steps later walk right into an Old school Skyline or even a hot rod? Truth is, there isn’t any other show like Autofest, whether you’ve had bad experiences with judging in the past, had a mishap with staff, or just hated the heat, it’s an event to attend and them having been around for 10 years shows something is being done right. With the love Autofest has shown us, we’ll be there to support for as long as we can. Until the next event, Spy you lat… I mean see you later!

So yesterday something was brought to my attention.  We have spies that work for us that go around checking out peoples projects.  Which I find funny because you throw a meet for everyone yet they spying on you because of what?   We build car to help the scene and to help out our customers.  If this is how you really think then well thats ok because we cant change what people think and to think we want to spy on you!   I think you need to get over yourselves!   With this said we now are taking applications for spy’s but the requirement is that you have to be AF STYLED!!!!!
