LA County Fair “Last Showoff EVER!”

Waking up at 4am is never fun, but we find ourselves doing it WAY more than we really should have. So yes, another fun filled weekend at a show, but this time, it was definitely worth it. Showoff once again brought us a fun filled afternoon at a fair. But instead of the usual Nisei shindig, we were at the LA County Fair!

LA County fair is a world of difference compared to the Del Mar Fair here in San Diego. I didn’t get to walk around, but from what everyone was saying, it’s at least double the size of Del Mar. Then of course there was the horse racing that would run every 15 or so minutes. One horse even fell over during a race. Got right back up though, no glue factory for this one! Food was delicious as always, its fair food; nothing can ever be bad… well maybe except chocolate covered bacon.

But the main reason for coming was for the actual show. Our parking situation was actually fairly different than normal. We got to park on the infield… of the actual horse track! So throughout the day, every time the horses ran, they would run around us. The only bad side to the show… was that not very many spectators to the fair actually got to see our cars and take a look at em. Either fair goers didn’t care or what, but not much foot traffic came our way.

Overall though the show was fun. Joe took first place Lexus and I took 2nd and almost everyone else that came with us also took something home, so it was definitely worth it. Not sure if we’ll ever do it again, driving through wet grass @ 8am sucks balls, but it was an experience nonetheless. So till next “last showoff”, goodbye!
