Hot Import Nights – 03/14/09

Hot Import Nights has been one of those shows that I can honestly say I truly love or hate. For a couple years now, I haven’t enjoyed a HIN event. It was a fun event that I enjoyed every time when the show was still in it’s infancy. But as it progressed, it became more and more, how do I say, boring. Of course there were good times hanging out with the fam and enjoying ourselves, but viewing the show as a spectator, it was lacking

That has all changed in ’09. I don’t know if it was the refreshing cold air or what, but this was the most enjoyable HIN I’ve had the opportunity of attending in years. Sure, the quality of some cars was lacking, and the overall quantity of cars was smaller than normal, but the atmosphere that made HIN what it was, was in full effect. The loud music bumpin from every corner, the go-go dancers doin there thing for all the guys to oogle over, and of course the spectators that ended up coming in hordes to enjoy a fantastic show. It was literally packed with people that covered every inch of that place. It would take people over a hour just to get in, even with wristbands.

But, beyond the show, AutoFashion came to represent and showoff what we do best, our cars. We had about 11 cars representing on Saturday. We showed a bit of everything, VIP cars, a couple of tuner cars and of course the AF truck. We brought out the booth as well, with a live DJ and lighting for the cars, it IS HIN after all and it would be boring without.

By the end of the show, which didn’t really feel that long even though it was like 8+ hours before we left the venue, we ended up sweeping the categories we were in.  Joe, who is the owner of the awesome red K-Break GS, won Hottest runner-up VIP and Performance Lexus class. I myself, won Hottest VIP and Unlimited Lexus class. Once they announced our names, it made HIN that much more perfect.

Dinner/Breakfast, after not eating the whole damn day, was wonderfully enjoyed at everyone’s favorite spot, Denny’s! Ending the night with family and friends, enjoying ourselves after such a long and perfect event, was a great way to end HIN. With that, I can’t wait til the rest of the show season.
