Special Ks July issue is out!!!!  Thanks to Carter and the guys at Import tuner for the sick article.  Just to clarify that he isnt and Quality Assurance Analyst at AF but for a software company hahaha.  All in all Great pictures from Erik!   This is one of longest builds since we got the car.   It changed so many times and well its not over yet.  This car will be displayed at TORC this weekend so come check it out!!!

During our stay up in Long Beach for Formula D/One-of-One show, the hotel we stayed at was right next to the water with a nice view of the buildings across. So, as late as it was, we decided to do a mini photo shoot with our cars. They may not be the best, yes I need to bring a tripod at ALL times, but it was decent with what we had. So please, enjoy the mini shoot haha.

FALKEN TIRE TEAMS UP WITH FORD AND AUTOFASHION TO BUILD AWARD WINNING FORD FLEX

Breaking the mold of cookie-cutter project vehicles on oversized chrome rims, Falken Tire envisioned the perfect blend of traditional “Lowrider” styling and a 2010 platform while utilizing today’s finest full-size CUV, the Ford Flex. Rolling on 22” Falken S/TZ04 tires and wire spoke Dayton wheels, this project was set to earn the respect of old school purists to new-age tuners.

Exterior modifications include a full PPG Paint color change, subtle silver leaf and pinstripe graphics and GT Factory rear suicide doors. The 3d Carbon aero treatment lays low when the Airrunner suspension drops and a low rumble is delivered through Magnaflow’s SS cat-back exhaust system. Other mods include an ACS sliding rag-top, Alpine audio and video components, Playstation 3, Metra audio wiring and custom printed paisley interior featuring the Falken “F” logo and the distinctive clown logo created by the renowned photographer and director Estevan Oriol.

With the car completed just in time and delivered to Ford’s booth at the SEMA Convention earlier this week, things got even better when the Falken Flex was awarded a Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Achievement in Design.

When you think some companies havent done anything new… check out Sessions!!!  Yamada – san has alot of tricks up his sleeves.  Here is something so simple and clean but is great canvas for the extreme vip lovers.  Its hard to see details on this kit due to the black car but there is so much to love about this kit.  Yamada-San great job but I want to see the crazy stuff he has cooking in his head (~_O)

Debut of the NEW CROWN ATHLETE GRS18 After HIGH-SPEC LINE VERSE from ARTISAN SPIRITS (COMING SOON).   This kit was designed by one of the greatest artist in aero kits.   ARTISAN SPIRITS is one of those companies that hide in the shadows but when they come out into the light they kill it for everyone.   If you are really into the VIP trends keep an eye out for these guys because they come out with some of the sickest shit.

This is a concept of what the CROWN kit will look like and maybe just maybe this might Debut at SEMA =) We wont disclose whos car it may be but we dont know if it will make its appearance this SEMA since this one is going to be small compaired to other years because of the economy… Just going to have to wait and see =)

This was one of those days that I will never forget.  This is the last and final shoot for this car.  She will be stripped down and sold =(  As we all know my LS43o has been whored out through ads, magazines, Sema, and online photos.   This shoot ment alot to me because it was the last one the way she looks.

The whole day was a ruff time looking for places to shoot in SD without too many cars but with it being Fathers day weekend everyone was out.   The area we shot out came out great and I hope to see more of the shots on speed hunters.

Everyone wants to know how we do things at Autofashion. This will go into detail on one of our projects. When we want to do things, we want to do them right! This is the inside of a Lexus GS, full interior being redone as we speak. The fully redone interior will be debuting at the infamous HIN LA, along with other specialty items done to this particular GS. When you thought it was done, and I’m sure most of you thought it was done… it was actually getting redone again (^__^).

As a lot of people have seen this car at the annual holiday Lexus meet, little did people know that each and every fender flare are completely designed, shaped and made from metal!  A lot of people tend say that “they” are the first to do metal fenders but when you think about it… people have been doing it from the beginning of time. We don’t claim to be the first, but on this car we did it a bit differently and provided our own style, instead of duplicating a vented fender.

This craze started out with metal fenders by companies like WALD and ARTISAN SPIRITS. As time passed people didn’t want to pay the price of custom metal fenders. So many of the companies began creating a cost effective part made out of fiberglass that could easily be bolted up to oem specs.  This caught on to a lot of other companies and they all decided to make them the same way, to cut cost and get out a product to the consumer.  Everyone thinks this came about from the VIP trend, but in actuality, a lot of the VIP car builders took this look and style from European styling. Due to those entrepreneurial companies such as Wald and Artisan Spirits, these trends started to catch on. More and more custom fenders come out of the wood works and became a cult hit amongst the masses. I hope more people as well as companies come out with fender designs and expand upon such a small, yet intricate part of the car.

Well that’s enough background on the fenders. We will post up the interior pics once we get done with it.  You won’t guess what color it will be…

I know this question is going to be asked “what wheel is that?”

The wheel is made by LOCK SMICE and it came to us rusted and beat to shit.  We took that used wheel and did a triple chrome coating on it and that’s how they came out.  Enough chrome for you? hahaha.  The wheels have custom offsets and yes, there are no spacers behind those wheels!

If you remember how this car was when it was first debuted, the fenders in the rear weren’t done right because it was rushed to get it done before the Lexus Holiday meet. Well it was redone right and painted after the meet so when you see this car at HIN LA in Anaheim, you will notice that the rear fenders won’t be the same and since we have a few pics of the outside we might as well show it to you.  Below is more pictures you can check out.  Enjoy everyone…

This is a few things we do at AUTOFASHION !

Today was a interesting day.   Lots of jobs to do and getting cars ready for events.  Here is one of the cars we worked on today.  Wheels stuck out about a “INCH” according to PANCAKES!(no homo).  So we took what did stick out and made it flush with how the front looked.  The car isnt complete still waiting on parts for the suspension.
