AF Fam at SD County Fair = Good Times!

The San Diego Del Mar Fair is a fun event for friends and family to just go out and enjoy themselves. So, you just KNOW we had to make it out there just once, cause we tight like that. We ended up getting to the fair around 6:45pm, a bit late but i work til 6pm so blah. Anyways… we got there and what was the first thing we did? Figure out what the hell to eat!

Lot’s of food to choose from this year, more than last year for sure. So after quick deliberation, our first plan of attack was as follows: a Kookie Kookie (I’ll explain in a bit), Deep Fried Twinkies, Deep Fried Avocados, Deep Fried Smores, Frog Legs and a Zucchini Weenie. Now, the Kookie Kookie consists of the following: 2 Oatmeal Raisin cookies and inbetween that is, Strawberry Jelly, Cream Cheese and the kicker,  a chicken patty. Now some of you are probably going “ew” right now but it wasn’t that bad really. You take one bite and it goes from sweet, sweet, sweet to salty and the cycle starts over. You have to try it if you get the chance, it’s definently worth it. Only other food item worth explaining is the Zucchini Weenie. All it really Is, is a hotdog, inside of a zucchini deepfried like a corndog. It was… interesting.

After a little bit of walking, we entered Round 2 of our food expedition. It ended with Mexican Funnel cake and Turkey Legs. But the FINAL FINAL item of choice that night… was the Chocolate covered bacon. YES, BACON! Let me just put this out there, it was nasty. Dark chocolate + bacon served cold, was the worst thing of the night by far. The thought alone of the bacon brings back sad and painful memories.

The BEST event of the night, was when Pancakes himself went for a bungie jump. Jumping 140 feet was insane, at least to me because I’m afraid of heights. It took him nearly a hour before he got to jump, as some problems occurred and multiple people were ahead of him. But he finally got up there and did it backwards like a crazy man.

We had fun as usual and good times were had by all. We didn’t get to go do any of the rides or shop for stuff like ShamWows, but we enjoyed ourselves and that’s all that matters. Thanks to everyone that came out that night, it was fun.
